This is an American-made flag.
The Gadsden flag is an American flag of historical significance that features a rattlesnake coiled and ready to strike. Positioned on the yellow field below the snake is the legend "DONT TREAD ON ME". The flag was designed by and is named after American general and statesman Christopher Gadsden. The United States Marine Corps also used tha Gadsden as an early motto flag.
The American Tea Party movement has adopted the Gadsden Flag as representative of some of the ideas associated with it. Such ideas include protest, fiscal responsibility, less government intrusion and government accountability.
